Akufo-Addo’s daughters and friends have founded 42 businesses since 2017 – Okudzeto

Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has alleged that President Akufo-Addo’s daughters, Edwina Akufo-Addo, Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, together with friends have forty-two companies under their names in Ghana.

He mentioned a marijuana company,  Good Grow Limited, as one of the companies owned by Akufo-Addo’s daughters and friends.

He claimed that the trio have been operating these companies ever since President Akufo-Addo assumed the presidency.

In an interaction with the Communications Officer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi on live TV, Mr Ablakwa indicated that these companies expand through to several sectors within the country.

“ Once again Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, Edwina Akufo-Addo, Steven Okoro as secretary to the company. Interestingly Good Grow limited, if you will recall in July 2020 parliament approved the legalization of marijuana, cannabis for industrial purposes. As soon as it was approved the Akufo-Addo daughters and Stephen Okoro registered the  Good Grow Limited company, they said their principal activity is to grow cannabis.

“Between Steven Okoro and Edwina Akufo-Addo’s close friend, Alvin Mensah. They have 42 companies across multiple sectors, including mining, and microfinance all over. They are doing brisk business. I have evidence to back them. I can confirm to you that based on the overwhelming evidence, the Auditor General report, the clear insider dealing, inflating invoices shows that politically exposed persons taking us for a ride and causing huge financial loss to the state,” he stated.

He cited mining, microfinance, and agriculture as a few of the many sectors Akufo-Addo’s children and associates have businesses.
