What John Terry told Lampard after Chelsea defeated Aston Villa

Chelsea boss, Frank Lampard, has revealed that Aston Villa assistant manager, John Terry told him “well done” on the pitch after the Blues’ defeated his team 2-1 in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

Lampard, who played alongside Terry during their time together at Chelsea and England national team respectively, said it was tough for the ex-defender to return to Stamford Bridge.

Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount’s goals ensured Chelsea defeated Aston Villa.

However, Mahmoud Hassan did score a goal for the visitors at Stamford Bridge.

“John Terry didn’t say much, just well done on the pitch,” Lampard said at his post-match press conference after the game.

“It is tough coming back. Respect both ways is huge.”

Lampard’s men will now tackle Everton in their next Premier League fixture this weekend.
