Maverick politician, Ekow Spio-Garbrah has made two songs for the two notable political parties in the country, the New Patriotic Party, NPP and the National Democratic Congress, NDC, ahead of the highly anticipated 2020 elections.
The former minister of trade and industry under the erstwhile Mahama administration, who is running for NDC flagbearship branded the ruling NPP as the most deceptive party, hence his decision to create his own version of the late highlife legend Ewura Ama Badu’s song “Medofo Adaadaa me†for the governing party.
On the other hand, he touted the NDC as the achieving party, urging the public to thank the opposition party for the infrastructure they laid out during their tenure in office.
“You know, the late Jewel Ackah had been making songs for the NDC, May his soul Rest in Peace, now that he’s gone, I want to step in and make songs for the party. You know, I’m also from the west …and as they say, the best comes from the west; so let me sing the song for you,†he said in an interview on Citi FM on Thursday.
Watch him sing in video below.
