Brighton keeper Scherpen targeted by Vitesse
Brighton’s Dutch goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen is wanted on loan by Vitesse Arnhem, according to The Sun.
Scherpen, 22, made the full Netherlands squad in the summer despite never featuring for the Seagulls, and the former Ajax stopper’s stock is high in his homeland, where Vitesse would like him to return.
Belgian side Oostende had 6ft 9in Scherpen last term and Brighton boss Graham Potter may let him go out again for game time.
West Ham have Â£19.8m offer for Lille’s Onana turned down
West Ham have made a â‚¬23m (Â£19.8m) offer for Lille midfielder Amadou Onana.
Sky Sports News has been told the bid has been rejected with Lille reluctant to sell.
West Ham remain interested and are deciding whether to return with an improved offer.
Onana is a Belgium international and has four years left on his Lille contract.

Chelsea’s Bakayoko not in AC Milan plans
Tiemoue Bakayoko is not in AC Milan’s plans this season, despite still having a year remaining on his loan deal from Chelsea, according to Calcio Mercato.
The French midfielder was a bit-part player for the Italian champions last season and is now said to be attracting interest from Marseille.

Navas ‘could leave’ PSG with Napoli interested
Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas could leave the club within the next few weeks, with Serie A side Napoli interested in the Costa Rican, according to Italian outlet Foot Mercato.
Navas is under contract with the Parisian side until 2024 and made 21 appearances last season, keeping nine clean sheets as he shared goalkeeping duties with star-signing Gianluigi Donnarumma.
However, Navas is said to be looking for a more secure starting spot elsewhere, whilst his competitor Donnarumma felt that he â€œcould have done moreâ€ last season for PSG.

The left-back is expected to complete the medical on Monday ahead of a Â£13m move from Feyenoord.

The defensive-midfielder is Leeds boss Jesse Marschâ€™s preferred candidate for the position and negotiations regarding personal terms have already taken place.
Barcelona and Rennes in talks over Umtiti deal
Barcelona and Rennes are in talks over a loan deal for Samuel Umtiti, according to Marca.
The France international is said to want an exit from the Nou Camp to be in place before he is due to return for pre-season training on July 11.
However, a fee is yet to be agreed between the clubs, and Barcelona are believed to be resigned to the idea of paying part of Umtiti’s salary even if he leaves the club.
Birmingham appoint Eustace as Bowyer replacement
Birmingham have appointed John Eustace as their new head coach on a three-year deal.
The 42-year-old replaces Lee Bowyer, who was sacked on Saturday after 16 months in charge.
Eustace’s only previous managerial experience was a two-year spell in charge of Kidderminster between 2016 and 2018.
Laporta: Raphinha wants to join Barcelona
Barcelona president Joan Laporta says the club are in talks with Leeds over the potential signing of Raphinha, and added the winger wants to move to the Nou Camp.
Chelsea are keen on signing the Brazil international this summer, but speaking at an event in honour of Johan Cruyff this weekend, Laporta said: “We have spoken with Leeds about Raphinha and there is an open line of communication.
“Other clubs are interested in the player, but we know that he wants to come to Barca.”
Laporta also said that Barcelona are still in talks with Ousmane Dembele – whose contract expired at the end of last month – over a new deal.
“Agreeing a contract with Dembele would not mean another player cannot be signed,” Laporta said.
â€œWe really like him and he played very well during the second half of the season, and Xavi is happy with him.
“It’s a financial discussion, both parties need to agree. We are relaxed about it, we have a good relationship with the player and the lines of communication with the agents are open.
“The player will remain with the club if he accepts the financial terms we offered him.â€

Franck Kessie will be confirmed as a Barcelona player on Wednesday, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Ivorian midfielder’s five-year association with AC Milan came to an end when his contract expired at the end of June.
Kessie will reportedly sign a four-year deal at the Nou Camp and earn a net annual salary of 6.5m euros.
Derby youngster Buchanan agrees Bundesliga move
Werder Bremen have announced an agreement in principle to sign Derby County full-back Lee Buchanan,Sky in Germany are reporting.
The Bundesliga club said on Twitter that the 21-year-old would link up with the squad at their Austrian training camp in Zillertal later on Sunday.
Buchanan – who is available on a free transfer after his Rams contract expired – still needs to pass a medical before completing the move to Germany.
He will become the second EFL player to join Werder this week, with former Sheffield United forward Oliver Burke also having been confirmed as a signing.
Werder return to Germanyâ€™s top division this season after finishing second in the 2. Bundesliga in 2021/22.
