Slain cops: Dampare arrives at crime scene[Zuarungu] – PHOTOS

The Inspector-General of Police Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has visited Zuarungu in the Upper East region following the killing of two police officers by armed robbers.

Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has currently arrived at the scene to assess the development.

The two policemen were shot dead by suspected robbers at the Zuarungu Market in the Upper East Region, the police administration confirmed on Wednesday (15 December).

The cops who are yet to be identified were killed during a robbery attack on a popular shop – Baba Store.

The Ghana Police Service described the incident as “Black Wednesday.”

“Black Wednesday for the Ghana Police Service as we have lost two of our officers through the activities of criminals, while on patrols this night within the Zuarungu Township to safeguard life and property,” it said in a Facebook post.
