The Black Stars team put up a sterling performance on March 29, 2022 to the shock of football enthusiasts after a rather poor show at AFCON 2021.

An uplifting tweet to the team from Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo, president of the republic of Ghana read, “Warm congratulations to the Senior National Football Team, the Black Stars, for their dogged display in Abuja, and qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. I am very proud of the team’s exploits. They have made the entire nation proud.”

The Black Stars led by Thomas Partey as captain, demonstrated unmatched discipline and togetherness in both legs at Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, and Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, Nigeria to make it to Qatar 2022.
