Ghana Card Becoming E-Passport shows Bawumia’s Superiority to Mahama - Nana Boakye
The 2024 parliamentary candidate for the ruling New Patriotic Party in Tema West, Dennis Amfo-Sefah, alias Nana Boakye, has reiterated Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s superiority to former President John Mahama in matters of policy, citing the integration of the Ghana card into the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) database, as the latest tangible proof.
On the sidelines of a health walk that he organized on Saturday, Nana Boakye said the development is historic as for the first time, it has made a Ghanaian national ID card substitutable for a passport.
“When we talk about real progress, it is things like this; when your national identification card can be substituted for a passport, not some amorphous 24-hour economy,” he told journalists in an interview. According to him, the development shows that the NPP government is millenniums ahead of any government the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has ever produced and will ever produce in future.
“Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is miles ahead of John Mahama in as far as creative thinking and brain power is concerned,” Nana Boakye said.
Just as he was speaking, Dennis Amfo-Sefah’s interview was invaded by happy constituents who mobbed him and hoisted him as the incoming MP for Tema West. As a result the interview was disrupted.
Due to the integration of the Ghana Card into the ICAO database, the national id card is now acceptable as substitute for passports at all the 44,000 airports around the world, according to Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
Speaking on a tour to the Upper West Region, Dr. Bawumia said that the new status of the Ghana card is just a small part of digital milestones that are in store for Ghana if he is elected president in December 2024.
After his personal security managed to rescue him from the hands of the constituents, a breathless Dennis Amfo-Sefah doubled down on his earlier point about the superiority of Dr. Bawumia to John Mahama.
On his part, the hardworking Tema MCE, Yohane Amarh Ashitey said “In December, the Ghanaian people are going to be making a choice between progress and backwardness; genius and a substandard thinker and finally, between modernity and history and I am sure they will make the right choice in Dr. Bawumia.”
Yohane Amarh Ashitey dared John Mahama to point to one thing that he has done that is as good and impactful as what Dr. Bawumia has done with the Ghana card.
Speaker after speaker including Hon. Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, MP for Tema West and Hon. Divine Agorhum, Greater Accra Regional Chairman of NPP were full of praise for the incoming MP for Tema West, Dennis Amfo-Sefah, alias Nana Boakye, for his good works.
Those in attendance at the well-attended health walk include national, regional, constituency and polling station executives.
