Nyantakyi wanted to extort money from investors – Ken Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central has stated that he disagrees with the method used by investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas in conducting his investigations.

According to the MP, the much anticipated, controversial and yet to be premiered “Number 12” investigative documentary by the journalist should not be premiered.

Speaking on Net 2 TV, he asked, “You want to premier this? We have to stop him or else, he will end up one-day recording you whilst you are asleep with your wife and premiere it in public.”

Mr. Agyapong revealed that President Akufo-Addo could have had himself entangled in the whole saga if a supposed call, Kwesi Nyantakyi, GFA boss placed to introduce investors had gone through.

“President Akufo-Addo that I know, if businessmen of that stature that he [Mr. Nyantakyi] claimed were coming to see him, he would have waited. It means Nyantakyi’s call did not go through. He was just deceiving the people to take money,”

The comments by the MP cum business magnate is in relation to a revelation that the GFA boss gave out the room number of the hotel the President was staying in, Doha when he was there on a visit.

The revelation was made by Mr. Agyapong, who claims the GFA boss was bragging to the undercover journalists who posed as business men in Morocco.

Nyantakyi, he claims, said he had the Doha phone number of one Asenso, who is believed to be Deputy Chief of Staff.
