Kumasi based Premiership side King Faisal Babies have stated that they will no longer need the services of three long serving players in the new season.
The players comprise former Kotoko defender Attah Kusi, Pius Baffour and Richard Wiafe. Management has officially informed and mutually parted ways with these players.
King Faisal had a torrid time in the 2020/21 Premier League. They battled relegation for greater part of the season before they were able to survive courtesy a last minute vital win against Liberty Professionals.
The situation wasn’t different last season. King Faisal had an impressive start in the league beating Kotoko back to back in the league and MTN FA Cup both at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Afterwards, they lost focus and strength in the subsequent games and had to go extra miles to escape relegation just like two seasons ago. In the end they finished 14th in the league with 42 points – only two points ahead of Eleven Wonders who joined WAFA and Elmina Sharks to Division one.
Management has decided to offload some players who are surplus to requirement and bring in fresh young ones to augment their set-up to ensure a proper season.
