Ghanaian forward, Caleb Ekuban has insisted that he made the right decision to join Trabzonspor on loan, adding he’s greatly valued at the club.
The Italian born striker has been rejuvenated since he joined the Turkish club despite early turbulence in the European country.
The Leeds United loanee has scored three goals in 12 matches in the Super Lig this season, better than what he managed at Elland Road.
“The decision I made was the correct oneâ€, Ekuban was quoted as saying by Turkish daily Sabah.
“I’m greatly valued at Trabzonspor.
“My [loan] contract ends at the end of the season, but the club do not want me to go.
“It’s really good that I came to Trabzon.â€
Trabzonspor are currently second in the Turkish league and are six points behind league leaders Basaksehir.
Ekuban joined Leeds United amid high expectations following his sublime performance in Albania but injuries conspired against the striker in England, frustrating his time at United.
However, the Championship side were forced to send him on loan to Turkey on a season-long loan and the striker thinks he made the right decision.
