The debacle of former General Secretary of the NPP may have come as a surprise to many party faithful but certainly not the Mp for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.
In fact it has emerged that he predicated the fall of John Boadu well over two months before the NPP Delegates Conference was held in Accra on Saturday.
In a video sighted by Asempa News, the legislator was seen banging on his table at his office declaring that John Boadu had no chance at winning the election due to his lasadasical approach to managing the affairs of the party.
” How is it that the National party headquarters is empty. Go and check. The grassroots don’t get anyone to channel their grievances to. The place is empty. That John Boadu will lose his position,” Kennedy Agyapong was seen venting his spleen in the video circulating in the media.
Kennedy Agyapong’s assertion goes to confirm claim by Peter Mac Manu that, though he was confident in the victory of John Boadu, it was on the grounds of the NPP Delegate Conference that he heard the some delegated had misgivings about the former General Secretary.
Well, Kennedy Agyapong’s predictions came to pass as the former General Secretary lost his seat to Justin Frimpong Kodua who beat him in a closely contested elections that was held over the weekend.
