Hearts of Oak part ways with head coach

Accra Hearts of Oak have part ways with head coach Henry Wellington following the team’s disappointing showing in the first round of the Zylofon Cash Premier League.

The former Premier League champions have failed to reap required results and after the end of the first round of the Premier League, the Phobians are occupying the 12th position with 17 points.

Wellington was appointed interim coach ahead of the start of the season after Scottish trainer Frank Nuttall was fired for unsporting and unethical behaviour.

Head coach of U-20 team, Auroras, Seth Hoffman has been promoted to take temporary charge of the senior team until a substantive coach is appointed.

Wellington’s assistant Nii Dodoo Odoom has been reassigned to the U-20 team.

Goalkeepers trainer Jerry Adjei has also been sacked.
