Give us our 1D1F or else … – Angry youth to Akufo-Addo

Youth of Ajumako Bisease in the Central Region are up in arms against President Akufo-Addo as they claim to have waited months on end for the One District One Factory promise made to them during the 2016 electioneering campaign.

According to the aggrieved youth, they were promised by the governing NPP that a factory would be sited at the district upon assumption of office, which would provide jobs for the people in the area.

“We want our share of the national cake now. Hundreds of young people in the town are jobless. The few who are employed are engaged in meager jobs.

“Because of this some frustrated ones are forced into vices which inadvertently affect the society. So we are calling on government to make good his promise to us, as we are suffering here,” Kofi Asiedu, a resident of the town told this reporter.

“President Akufo-Addo must live up to his promise; he claimed Ghanaians were suffering under former president Mahama and that he was going to make life better for us, but our situation has worsened under this current government.

“We are however hopeful that if the factory is sited here, the town will come alive with bustling activities. So he should come and honour his promise to us,” an angry elder in the town who pleaded for anonymity added.
