President of the Ghana Football Association Kurt Okraku has cut sod to begin the first phase of betPawa Park Project which was part of the contractual agreement with betPawa – official sponsors of the 2022/23 Premier League.
The GFA entered into agreement with betting company betPawa to sponsor the Ghana Premier League for the next three years.
Aside the mouth-watering money which was shared among the 18 Premier League teams, it was also part of the lucrative deal that betPawa will build new standard park across the country to help develop football at the lower and Premier Division.
The Ghana Premier League new title sponsors has started fulfilling their contractual agreement. Last Tuesday, Ghana’s representative of betPawa Mr. Eazi who is renowned musician together with GFA Boss Kurt Okraku cut sod at a colourful ceremony to commence the project.
“We told Ghanaians that betPawa really mean business when we signed contract to sponsor the league. I’m happy things have started so quick as we thought. We are cutting the sod to start the park project and it won’t end there. More is expected to follow” he said.
GFA President Kurt Okraku was appreciative and commended betPawa for their wonderful start to a good course.
“This is amazing. The way things have started early clearly means we will be in for a good relationship with betPawa. Whatever assistant we can give them as GFA to succeed in helping to develop Ghana Premier League and football in general, we will do so” Kurt Okraku hinted.
