Former Black Stars assistant coach David Duncan joins Medeama FC

Tarkwa based Medeama Football Club have appointed former Black Stars assistant coach David Duncan to steer affairs of their technical bench. He will lead the team into battle when the 2022/23 betPawa Premier League kicks off.

Medeama FC, since losing their former head coach, Samuel Boadu to Accra Hearts of Oak have struggled to maintain a consistent performance. They had a torrid time in last season’s league and had to part ways with coach Ignatius Baffour Ofosu.

As the new season starts this weekend, Medeama is hoping to make a significant impact. They have signed some young and experienced players like Hans Kwofie to augment their set-up.

In addition, they have brought on board veteran coach David Duncan to help move the team to places. Coach Duncan has vast experience in the local scene. He has coached many clubs and national teams as well. The last three clubs that he managed include Ashgold, Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

Two years ago he was appointed to assist C.K Akunnor to handle the senior national team, the Black Stars. Since the Black Stars technical team was dissolved, he has not coached any team till Medeama’s appointment.

He will be assisted by Umar Abdul Rabi to turn the fortunes around for the mauve side who play their home games at the Akoon Park at Tarkwa.
