FIPWiSE Rising Stars: Ghana’s Priscilla Mante Shares Spotlight with Top Global Women Achievers

Another exceptional Ghanaian, Dr Priscilla Mante has led the worthy cause of inspiring hope of excellence and resilience among African women.

The Senior Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology joins a host of other professionals in pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy education to contribute towards the improvement of best practices in the discipline and mentor upcoming female scientists through FIPWiSE.

FIPWiSE (Women in Science and Education) is an initiative that was launched on 11 February 2020 on the United Nations’ International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

FIPWiSE aspires to champion and enable women in pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacy education to achieve their fullest potential, and to attract female students and young professionals into these fields.

Priscilla Mante, a Doctor of Pharmacology has earned a slot on the 2022 inaugural listed of #FIPWiSE Rising Stars by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).

“I’m delighted to share that I have been included in the 2022 inaugural list of #FIPWiSE Rising Stars by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), alongside women in #pharmaceuticalsciences and #pharmacyeducation who demonstrated achievements, innovations and significant impacts in their fields and who have been pathfinders in the profession despite challenges in their way,” Dr Mantey said.

This worthy position does not only depict the pace at which young female Ghanaians are pushing up the leader in science but, presents a shining example for many young females to emulate.
