Ghanaian gospel musician, Ernest Opoku, has expressed disappointment in Multimedia’s security guards for failing to protect him from physical attack on him by his ex-girlfriend in their studio.
According to reports, the gospel act was attacked by his former girlfriend “NAYAS 1†at Adom FM studio during a live praise and worship programme with Kwamena Idan.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM on the assault, the gospel artiste asserted that he is very disappointed in the security officers who allowed such a humiliating incident to happen at their premises.
“I know what Multimedia has done for some gospel artistes like myself, so I don’t charge them a dime for live worship in their studio. I attended the worship at this reputable media firm, but what happened to me yesterday was unfortunate and unpleasant.
Recounting his ordeal, he said, “I was in the studio of Adom FM when the girl rushed in. I was even making a call and didn’t see her walk in. All I realized was that she was already in the studio lashing me with a cane but I didn’t retaliate.â€
He bemoaned the weak security provided by Multimedia arguing that, he could have been badly injured or even killed if she had attacked him with a dangerous weapon or substance like an acid.
“If Multimedia doesn’t take responsibility for this case; I will be disappointed in them’, he said adding that he has given the matter to God.
He however urged Ghanaians to look out for her pregnancy since she claims to be 3 months pregnant, which in his estimation is a lie
