I’ll ensure Upper East Region gets fair share of roads – Minister-nominee

Upper East Regional Minister-designate Donatus Akamugri Atanga has assured residents that he will advocate for the development of the region’s road infrastructure if given the nod.

Acknowledging the poor state of roads in the Upper East Region, including areas like Zoko, Mr Atanga emphasised the need for urgent attention to improve accessibility and connectivity.

“In terms of road network, the Upper East can be classified as a region that has not received its fair share of good roads. If approved, I will liaise with the Minister for Roads and Transport to ensure that the fair share of Upper East is given to us," he said.roads

Mr Atanga further noted that a structured approach will be adopted to identify and prioritise road projects.

“We will outline the roads that need to be tarred and those that require graveling, ensuring that work is done efficiently and effectively to improve transportation in the region,” he added.
