    Shatta Wale donates GH₵ 20,000 to artist for her tertiary education

    Ghanaian dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, has extended a helping hand to an artist in Kumasi during his visit to the Garden City.

    In a video posted by Shatta Wale's manager Sammy Flex on Facebook, Shatta Wale is seen donating an amount of money (disclosed to be GH₵ 20,000) to a 19-year-old lady who presented to Shatta Wale, a portrait of him.

    While receiving the piece of artwork, Shatta Wale asked the lady (named Priscilla) about her educational level and she said he was yet to go to the university.

    Priscilla told Shatta Wale that she completed senior high school last year but due to financially difficulties, her my mother had asked her to wait for some time while she looked for money to cater for the cost of her tertiary education.

    Shatta Wale then asked his manager to call Priscilla's mother so they could present the money to her.

    During the meeting, Priscilla mothershowed appreciation to Shatta Wale and his team.

    "My husband passed away three years ago so we are facing some financial difficulties. So I told her to patiently wait for some time.

    God bless you so much for this gesture," she said.

    Shatta Wale's manager, Sammy Flex, therefore admonished Priscilla's mother to make good use of the money.

    "All that Shatta Wale seeks is for the money to be used for the intended purposes so that the girl can continue her education. This money is not for clothes. It is for Priscilla's education. Use it for all the things that she will need," he said.

    A few weeks ago, Shatta Wale featured a group of up and coming musicians in the Accra Invasion Project, an initiative that has shone some light on the fledgling artistes.
