Nasol Calls on NPP and NDC to Lead Peace Campaign Ahead of Dec. 7 Elections

Ghanaian flutist and musician Nasol has launched a peace campaign ahead of this year’s Elections slated for December 7, 2024.

The creative artiste born Jeremiah Nii Aryee Solomon particularly called on NPP and NDC to advocate for peace in their campaign to ensure their supporters do not resort to violence in the impending electoral exercise.

In a lyrical creation dubbed “Dec 7” Nasol appeals to the political class in Ghana to exercise restraint in their communication in the lead up to the December 7, Elections to ensure the safety of Ghanaians despite their desire to win power.

After gaining public admiration with his patriotic songs ‘Ghana Settings’ and ‘AccraCityJam’, Nasol continues to spur his vehicle of nationalism by sensitizing the youth on the importance of safeguarding the peace of Ghana via his song ‘Dec 7’.

Explaining his reason for this song he observed that the sub-region has experienced quite a number of political instabilities with neighboring Cote D’Ivoire being the closest example Ghanaians can point to.

“We’ve all got just one life to live and nothing thrives in the mist of war. That is why Ghanaians both young and old must jealously guard our peace and avoid violence in all its forms,” he stressed.

Nasol who performed at United Nations Youth Association-Ghana (UNYA-GH)’s inauguration of members at Parliament in 2023 believes that the constitution makes provision for every citizen aged 18 years and above and of sound mind to exercise their franchise by voting for their preferred political choice.

“So, there’s no reason why anybody should be attacked for exercising their freedom of choice. I entreat every youth, mother, father, uncle, political leaders, clergy, traditional rulers and all citizens to play their role in preserving the sanctity of our Country,” the dynamic flutist and performer pleaded with political actors and all citizens.

Nasol best known for his hit tracks “Lamiokor” and “Family Vybz” makes this call for peace in the wake of heated political exchanges in the lead up the national elections which comes off on December 2024.
