John Mahama Has Lost Again - Tema MCE

The Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive, Yohane Amarh Ashitey, has stated that there is clear indication that former President John Mahama and the opposition National Democratic Congress know that they have already lost the 2024 elections.

In a write-up on social media, the MCE said the evidence was clearly on display during the NDC’s recent campaign launch at the Jubilee Park in Tamale.

“From John Mahama’s nervous instruction to the Central Region delegation to return and start working hard in preparation for the launch of the NDC’s manifesto, to Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, the General Secretary of the party, admitting that it will not be easy beating the NPP. It was clear that the NDC know that their chances are not courageous,” Yohane Amarh Ashitey wrote.

But according to him, the clearest indication that the NDC knows John Mahama has already lost the presidential election is the demand by the NDC’s National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, for President Akufo-Addo to make a commitment that he will hand-over power to whoever wins the election.

“What would make anybody make such a demand seeing that our elections are governed by laws and rules? It is only someone who is nervous about their chances that will make such a demand,” Yohane Amarh Ashitey wrote.

According to him, “John Mahama knows that he has lost the election already and this realization is fueling paranoia in the NDC.”

The MCE’s declaration comes in the aftermath of the NDC’s official manifesto launch which came off at the Tamale Jubilee Park in late July.

During the programme, Mr. John Mahama urged a central regional entourage of party supporters who had been bussed to Tamale, to return and prepare the grounds for the official launch of the party’s manifesto in August.

At the same programme, the party’s General Secretary, Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, had lamented that it would be very difficult for the NDC to wrest power from the ruling NPP also asking for extra hard work; while the party’s National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, alias General Mosquito, had demanded that President Akufo-Addo make a commitment to hand over power if his party loses.
Meanwhile, Yohane Amarh Ashitey wrote that the NDC’s loss in the 2024 elections is already written in the stars.

“Spiritually, John Mahama has been rejected,” he wrote, pointing out that the same declaration were made about Mr. John Mahama by Ghanaian pastors in the lead-up to the 2020 Elections.

Recently, a Nigerian spiritualist, Primate Elijah Ayodele, who leads the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church reiterated that Mr. John Mahama has a spiritual problem that needs to be resolved before he can become President again.
