NPP Primaries: Reach out and mend broken bridges – Kyei Mensah Bonsu urges winning candidates

Majority Leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has asked winners of the just-ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stretch out to their defeated opponents.

He believes that during the campaigning season, some statements may have been made against their contestants, and it will be right that they reach out to bridge the gap.

The Majority leader who has decided to leave Parliament said the party has a charge to deliver victory in the 2024 elections and was optimistic that bridging the gaps will play a key role in helping the party win.

    Read His Statement Below
    “Dear NPP Parliamentary Candidates:

The elections of yesterday have produced a mixed grill of “still maintain” and new faces. To all who participated in the contest, my sincere appreciation. Congratulations to the winners. To the non-winners, cheer up for a better tomorrow.

It was a family contest. However, as the case is in any such contest, some unsavoury statements might have been made. Let the contestants, especially, the winners, stretch out their hands and reach out to each other as soon as practicable to reach out to heal wounds and bruises.

Collectively we have a charge to keep, to “break the 8”. No party person must be left behind in confronting our principal opponent in the December 2024 Presidential and General elections. With God on our side we shall overcome.

    Once again, tons of CONGRATULATIONS!!!”
