Betpawa to sponsor Ghana Premier League for 3 years

Betting company, Betpawa has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Ghana Football Association to sponsor the Ghana Premier League for the next three years.

The Kurt Okraku led Football administration announced the new relationship with Betpawa as the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday.

The Ghana Premier League has been without title sponsor for over five seasons now. Thankfully, Kurt Okraku and his men at the helm of affairs of GFA has managed to end the sponsorship drought. The lucrative sponsorship package from Betpawa has come at the right time to ease the financial burden on the 18 premiership clubs.

Betpawa has assured their commitment to invest a total of 6 million dollars into the league over a period of 3 years. Part of this money will go directly to the clubs while part goes to the players as winning bonus. A portion of the money will go to the media and marketing. Part is also meant for construction of the Betpawa football pitch at Prampram.
