Asante Kotoko players accused of allegedly stealing face towels at a Nairobi hotel

Ghana’s representative in this year’s CAF Confederations Cup campaign, Asante Kotoko players have been accused of allegedly stealing face towels at a Nairobi hotel after their CAF Confederations Cup match against Kariobangi Sharks last week Saturday at the MISC Kasarani.

The Ghana Premier League side are said to have left the hotel with the towels and other unnamed items which club CEO George Amoako described as ‘unfortunate’.

“They were mere face towels. It’s very unfortunate but we will address it,” he said

When contacted, the management of the hotel refused to comment on the issue.

Saturday’s barren draw means that the Porcupine Warriors would need to avoid a scoring draw and force a win of any margin to progress to the next stage of the competition.

The return leg is scheduled for Saturday, December 22nd at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
