Ghanaian socialite Afia Schwarzenegger, has reportedly been banned from social media App, TikTok.
Her popular 500,000-follower account can’t be found, prompting speculations of deletion.
While the self-identifying ‘Queen of Comedy’ didn’t confirm the ban when she made social media appearance over the weekend on Instagram, she did give impressions the old account had been hacked.
Widespread rumour, however, has it she may have violated regulations on the short-form video hosting platform.
According to www.support.tiktok.com, “Accounts that consistently violate Community Guidelines will be banned from TikTok.”
Accounts that bully, share content on drugs, alcohol, nudity, or any form of sexual stuff are easy targets for banning on the App known in China as Douyin. This is done to ensure safety and fun on the platform for users.
An appeal is possible if one believes they’ve been banned unlawfully, however.
